Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint a Project Officer – River Aire to cover a 9 month period of Maternity Leave.

 

The Projects Officer will on several projects within the Aire to delivery natural flood management and improve habitat, land management practices, and water quality. You will lead in the delivery and development of several other projects within the Aire catchment which all work with landowners to provide significant improvements to the river corridor.

 

The role will involve liaison with land managers, stakeholders, project team and partners to finalise designs and deliver interventions which improve and restore habitat. You will ensure the project is managed effectively, and funder outputs are met, while delivering the best outcomes for nature.

 

You will have a proven track record of successful project management and delivery, and experience working with a range of stakeholders. Preferably, you will have experience working in nature conservation and engaging farmers and landowners. You should be organised, agile and an effective communicator.
