Sussex Species Recovery Fund

Sussex Species Recovery Fund

The complex networks of species and habitats, that make up the natural world are breaking down and becoming fragmented. We must act now to restore our precious local wildlife.

This Autumn we need to raise £100,000 urgently to create a Species Recovery Fund for Sussex. This will support the Trust's ambitious and innovative plans for nature's recovery by creating and restoring habitats where wildlife can thrive once more.

We will maximise our impact both within and beyond the boundaries of our nature reserves by delivering innovative wildlife projects.

Our ambition is that by 2030 at least 30% of Sussex land and sea will be protected and restored. To do this we must expand networks for nature, built on a strong evidence base of monitoring and expertise.

We will collaborate with more landowners to create wildlife corridors and habitats, allowing our precious species to move freely through the landscape.

Help us create a local landscape where wildlife thrives and where species on the brink of extinction are given the chance to recover.
