Make the pledge to go peat-free!
We received an incredible 63,000 responses in support of making all compost 100% peat-free! This is in response to both our petition to ban peat compost and the Government’s public consultation calling for feedback on its plans to ban peat.
The Government’s response to the consultation is that bagged peat for amateur gardeners will not be banned until 2024 and plug plants and house plants are still able to be grown in peat compost.
