Pledge to speak up for peat!

Pledge to speak up for peat!

We received an incredible 63,000 responses in support of making all compost 100% peat-free! This is in response to both our petition to ban peat compost and the UK Government’s public consultation calling for feedback on its plans to ban peat in shops in England.

But it's not just the use of peat in compost that damages our peatlands. Burning, development, and hidden peat in house plants, living salads, mushrooms and plug plants are also a threat.

By taking this pledge you are showing your support for precious peatlands. Be the first to know about campaigns that can help to protect these amazing habitats.

In the meantime, there are several ways you can play your part for peat, including as a consumer - sign up to be a Peat Inspector here.
